Special Greetings and Wishes for all our clients this Festive Season

This year went by in a flash I’m sure you’ll agree! But it is at this time of year that we like to become still for a bit, and reflect on all that we have to be grateful for here at Intundla Game Lodge & Bush Spa.

Firstly let’s look at everything we’ve achieved this year.

We started off with a bang and in January we held a very successful Triathlon and R10 of every entry went to our favourite Charity SA Cares.

In an effort to be a Greener Venue, we started growing our own Veggie Garden.

rosie-the-bush-pigWe raised, and set free, the sweetest little Bush Pig named Rosie.

Mother’s day was celebrated at the Game Lodge with a special treat that included a Spa Treatment at our new Spa, and the Fathers got spoiled on their special day with a Game Drive.

Thanks to Szoosh, our Event Décor Specialist, we had some fanciful Themed Events like the Mardi Gras Event we hosted for Lorge.

We were thrilled to have met the new DA Leader Mmusi Maimane on his visit to Intundla.Mmusi Maimane

Nature Conservation released several rock pythons in the Intundla reserve.

We floated many cars across our dam and discovered that BMW floats!

We built a new Boma that is ideal for smaller groups of up to 25 people, who want to gather around the fire, enjoying a tasty buffet in an intimate environment.new-boma

Nando’s visited and did the Chicken Dance.

Cambridge University visited us again since their last time here at Intundla in 2007.

And sadly we also mourned the loss of one of our own, much loved Holiday Sebothoma.

And of course, many of you came to visit Intundla, far too many to mention. We would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you, to our dear clients and friends who have made this year as wonderful as it has been, and we want to extend our warmest wishes for the Holiday Season and a prosperous and peaceful New Year.

The 5 A’s to get you to Job Satisfaction

  1. Always strive to learn more

Any job can become mundane and boring, especially once you’ve been working at it for a while. Your daily tasks become almost automatic, and with this comes an apathy. If you strive to learn something new every day, you will replace boredom with excitement and anticipation of what is to come next. This will also further your chances of promotion, open up the field of other work opportunities, and leave you feeling more satisfied. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself in the company hierarchy, you can learn more about the company’s products, the competition, the skills you need to step up that ladder.

  1. Attitude

Even though this goes without saying, this is the biggest stumbling block for most people. Every day when you enter your office building, you choose to either be happy or unhappy in what you do. Something magical happens when you decide (yes decide) to start enjoying what you do. The grass is not always greener on the other side as so many beliefs. More likely the job that you’ve been coveting also comes with its drawbacks. Even if the grass is lusher over on that side, you’re more likely to get there with a positive attitude.

  1. Aim to achieve

If you give your best in everything you do, you will feel more satisfied. Don’t worry if your manager doesn’t notice, it is more about how you feel about yourself and your own self-respect. Plus you never know who is looking, someone might notice and offer you an opportunity. If you’re only doing slapdash work because you feel you’re not getting the recognition you deserve, greater possibilities might also elude you.

  1. Allow for margin of error in others

Remember that you are human and can make mistakes. But more importantly, remember that other people are also just human. Have a forgiving attitude with your colleagues and manager. Go out of your way to make life easier for others and you will pick the fruit of a happier and more satisfied life.

  1. Appreciate where you are

Where you are right now in your life, and your career is where you need to be. Be present. Appreciate where you are. Celebrate small successes. Never give up. Keep learning. Keep moving forward, and become a better YOU every day.

If you need to bring your TEAM for a workshop or TEAMBUILDING come to Intundla Conference & Teambuilding Venue in Gauteng, located in prime game reserve surroundings. The Conference and Team Building Venue is close enough to Pretoria’s main business hub, but far enough away to instil that out of office feeling where you can focus on business without any distractions.

5 Signs he is in Love with you

I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, and all that you’re yet to be.

  1. He wants to show you all his favourite spots

One of the first signs that he’s in love with you is when he starts taking you to all his favourite places. He takes you to restaurants where he loves to dine, he takes you to his best hideouts from childhood. Places that are almost sacred to him, he feels this need to share with you. Go along with it, even if camping is not your thing, you can learn a great deal about him as he shares with you what means most to him.

  1. It’s important to him that you meet his family and friends

Unless he doesn’t get along with his family (and this should be a warning sign), a guy that doesn’t want to introduce you to his family is probably not that into you. It is natural for us, when we fall in love, to want to share what we love. This includes his family and friends. It is much more than wanting their approval, and more about wanting yours. Don’t be afraid to meet his family, he’s most likely already told them a great deal about you, of course painting you in the best possible light.

  1. He finds you funny

Those strange quirks and habits you have, the way you leave your favourite food on your plate till last, the way your mouth moves more on one side when you talk, these are the things he feels endeared to and can’t get enough of. If a guy laughs at all your jokes no matter how lame, then it’s a sure clue that he is in love.

  1. He wants to spend time with you

You are his favourite part of the day. He’ll cancel plans to be with you, even it means missing out on a long-standing arrangement. He’ll escort you to a boring function just to be with you, and he starts looking forward to those mundane errands, as long as he can do them with you. If you stay up till daybreak just talking, then he’s probably in love with you.

  1. You’re in his future

You’ll notice the I gets replaced with we. And when he talks about the future, you’re right there in it with him. He includes you in the Christmas plans for the following year and starts planning with you when he learns about his much-loved music band visiting the country, even though it is months away.

Soon he’ll go down on one knee … when he does you know where to find the best Wedding Venue in Gauteng. Intundla Wedding Venue, boasting a beautiful Chapel, mouth-watering Cuisine, and an idyllic Honeymoon Suite. We also have ample accommodation for your wedding guests who wish to linger longer to share this memorable occasion with you.

How you can tell if you’ve fallen in Love

I fell in love with you not for how you look, just for who you are. (Although you look pretty great too)

Love is a blissful state of being, a feeling that is hard to describe, but something that is known to many. If you’ve never been in love, you’ve met the girl, how do you know that you’re in love? Love is very different for every person, but there are some sure signs that this is love.

She’s on your mind

From the second you wake up she’s on your mind. You think about her while you brush your teeth, and when you take a glimpse in the mirror you’re wearing a sheepish smile. It is hard to focus on your work and you find yourself daydreaming and staring at your computer screen. Not much work gets done. You write her name in the butter while making a sandwich. If you can’t shake the thought of her, you are probably smitten.

Anything she asks, she gets

Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to this girl. You suddenly find yourself doing things that you never thought you’d do for any girl. You make her coffee (and up to now you don’t even make your own), you rub her feet for hours, and you’ll even wash her car! All it takes is one look and your resistance crumbles.

Hearing her voice is like breathing fresh air

You phone her just to hear her voice. You’ve just seen her and have nothing new to say, but you’ll do anything just to hear her voice again. Talking to her fills a void, a hole bigger than Kimberley’s gat, that you didn’t know you had until now. It doesn’t matter what she tell you as long as she speaks. You hang on her lips and will easily swallow a fly if you don’t watch yourself. If you can’t stop staring at her lips and how they move, then you’re probably in love.

She makes you want to be a better person

This is one of the surest signs and easiest to spot. You want to be better, achieve more and reach for the stars. Never before have you had this passion and drive to become the man your dear mother always wished you were. You invite her to your local sports club when you play a friendly game with the boys, and talk about pressure! Your instinct is to perform. If you’re glancing at her over your shoulder throughout the game, then you sure are in love.

The next step, of course, will be to ask the big question. Things happen quicker than you know and you’ll be needing a Wedding Venue soon … Intundla Wedding Venue in Gauteng, beautiful, picturesque, the perfect location for your dream wedding.

Have you already asked the Big Question?

Maybe it's time you say I DO
